2008 Kingsley Air Force Base Air Show

The Air Show started off with a bang this year. Hot
temperatures, clear blue skies and lots of planes.
Photographed the Thunderbirds on Thursday with a Media Pass as
they were just flying in. Got some shots of the crew and pilots as they readied
they’re planes for the show on Saturday.
My wife and I got a special escort with the base photographer
from Kingsley AFB on Friday to shoot the pre-show, and meet the Thunderbird pilots and crew.
The entire Thunderbird crew and staff where more than friendly
and courteous. There are about 70 members that make up the crew of the
Thunderbirds, definitely a class act.
Saturday, the day of the show turned out quite ominous with low
clouds and lightning lurking in the distance.
Only a few drops appeared here and there, all in all it was a
great Air Show.
